I wish the time will soon come to see that US universities will work issuing visas to international students in a more just and American fashion. So far they've given and trained millions from the continent of Asia while issuing only hundreds or so student visas for the continent of Africa. I think the time is ripe for a change of policy that more fairness is reflected and the stats get reviewed and appropriate corrective measures get taken.
It's only a win win situation for all to have (start investing 1/5th that was invested in Asia) and get Africa as a viable alternative for the industrial nations to do business with instead of sending hand outs. The same way the Far East was helped for decades to the point of self sustenance while totally ignoring Africa, I think it's becoming clear that Africans also have the ability, the drive for discipline (poverty), and the cooperation with the industrial world.
Don't refuse to invest at least 1/5th of what you did for the East at least for recognition that we're part of this world too.
And training scientists for us because it's good for everyone, and the excuse that a lot of blacks have already come here so issuing visas to African students is not that necessary is not a strong argument because they're totally detached economically from the African economies, so a separate file should be opened and when issuing (to start) say 25 student visas for Asia, take 1 student from Africa. Please?
We also wanna lift ourselves out of poverty, and your help will be greatly appreciated and will be more beneficial for you. Don't favor the others over us; we also wanna flood the higher academic institutions as well.
